Congratulations to MES FP Loui Marchant (class of 2014) on winning the Royal Historical Society Beazley Prize 2014 for the best performance in History A Level/Advanced Higher examinations in each of the examining boards in the United Kingdom. Loui gained the top mark at Advanced Higher History from the Scottish Qualifications Authority and was awarded a cheque for £100. This is a wonderful achievement.
Congratulations also to Hamish Innes (S6) who was awarded a prize by The Institute of Physics for gaining the joint top mark in his Revised Higher Physics exam this May. He was presented with his prize at the Science in the Parliament event at Dynamic Earth on Wednesday, 12th November. Hamish also received a special book award from Oxford University for his achievement in gaining a Gold award in the S5 Physics challenge paper that he sat back in March.
Former Pupils Sam Ramsahoye and Sam Riley were also 'Highly Commended' in their category of Academic Excellence at the 2014 SQA Star Awards which took place last week.
