Wellbeing

Wellbeing is at the heart of the education we provide

ESMS puts wellbeing at the centre of everything we do because we know that when children feel happy, safe and secure they are far more likely to thrive.

We keep our teacher and pupil ratios small, and we take the time to build strong relationships with every child so that we get to know them personally and understand how to support and nurture them.

Our Nursery staff work together as a family, with everyone taking responsibility for the wellbeing of the children in our care. This helps our children to develop vital personal qualities such as resilience and self-belief which will help them to deal with the challenges they encounter both in childhood and later as adults.

" I feel like they have become part of my family and we are raising my son as a team"

Our Five Values

Our five values are taught from Nursery, inspiring every child to develop kind hearts, make good decisions and improve the world around them:

  • Kindness
  • Confidence
  • Resilience
  • Curiosity
  • Integrity

Working in Partnership with Parents

We offer regular parent consultations to give parents an update on your child’s wellbeing and progress.  We also have an open-door policy in the Nursery so that parents can drop in any time to have a chat about any questions or worries you may have. We recognise that modern parenting has its challenges, which is why our wellbeing programme includes our parents.  We run workshops to give parents additional tools to support their children at home. Families facing particular challenges can be connected with ESMS’s expert consultants who are on hand to advise staff and offer bespoke support.
