Congratulations to Stewart's Melville College former pupil David Florence. The World Champion canoeist won the World Cup C1 competition at Lee Valley on Saturday 7 June, in front of a home crowd. David and his Olympic and World Championship partner, Richard Hounslow, came fifth in the C2, three and a half seconds behind the winners as a result of a picking up two 2-second penalties for touching gate poles.
This is a fantastic start to his season and we wish David the best of luck this summer.
