This summer term may have been unlike any we have experienced before but our pupils rose to the challenge in every way. As we approach the end of term, we want to look back at what our pupils and staff have achieved and recognise their contributions over this last school year.
From SMC winning the U18 Rugby Schools' Cup in December and MES being announced as Joint Winners of the U18 Hockey Cup, to trips abroad to destinations including Hollywood, Iceland and Sestrierre, as well as wonderful musical and dramatic performances in The Last Witch, Othello and our Spring Concerts, there is so much to be proud of.
Take a look at our Senior School highlights round-up here.
In the Junior School, educational trips to Greece and cultural exchanges to Colorado were some travelling highlights, whilst our Junior School Choir performed in the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo for the seventh year running and delighted parents and families with their Christmas Carols in St Mary's. The Halo Trust launched their 'Breaking Boundaries' appeal with Ruth Davidson on the lawns of Old College and our Junior School Book Day and P6 Restaurant Venture were great successes, whilst sporting achievements included both our P7 Girls' and P6 Boys' teams winning their respective Scottish Schools’ Road Race Championships.

It may be reassuring to remember that some things don't change. Our Sixth Formers are getting ready to leave ESMS and take their next steps in life, Junior School children are preparing to join our senior schools from Primary 7, and other classes are transitioning through the Year Groups as they continue their ESMS journey.
We hope that these memories make you smile as we remember all of the many moments worth celebrating in school this year across ESMS and we look forward to welcoming you back in August.
