We were delighted and grateful to have former Melville College pupil and Nobel Prize Winner in Chemistry, Sir Fraser Stoddart, with on Thursday 15 December 2016. Sir Fraser gave an address to around 500 children, staff, contemporaries from his own school days, and one of his former teachers, about his life, his career and the discovery that earned him the joint Nobel Prize for Chemistry for his work on molecular synthesis. The address was captivating and inspiring and Sir Fraser devoted a great deal of time afterwards to Sixth Formers who relished the opportunity to chat with Sir Fraser.
