Our two senior judoka, Chris (5A)and Dylan (4K), have both enjoyed a fantastic few months on the tatami. Having been runner up in the Sainsbury's UK School Games in September, Christopher took the title of Scottish Champion in his weight class in November and followed this up with another national silver medal at the British Championships in Sheffield at the beginning of December. Dylan took the bronze medal in his own very competitive weight class at the Scottish Championships, and then repeated the feat at the British. Both boys are members of Judo Scotland's Talent Development Performance Squad, of which Chris has been announced as captain for 2016, and as a result of their recent successes both have just been selected to compete in a twelve strong Scottish squad at the European Cadet Cup in Fuengirola (Spain) in February.
