Mrs Linda Moule has been appointed to the position of Principal of Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools in Edinburgh with effect from August 2018 to succeed Mr David Gray who has held the post since 2000. Linda Moule is a graduate in Theology of Manchester University and held positions in the teaching profession in Bristol, Stockport, Manchester and as Deputy Head of Holy Trinity College, Bromley, before being appointed to the position of Vice Principal of New Hall School, Chelmsford in 2004. She was appointed to the role of Head of The Mary Erskine School Senior School in Edinburgh, which she has led with distinction, in 2009. She became Vice-principal of the Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools in 2016. The Mary Erskine School was named Independent Secondary School of the Year in Scotland in 2012, and in 2016 topped the Scottish Schools’ Examination League Tables at Higher and Advanced Higher levels. Linda Moule brings to the role of Principal of the largest schools in Scotland a wealth of experience of education in the UK. She is married with two sons, both of whom have attended Stewart’s Melville College.
